On Tuesday the CCF visited Thurrock to campaign for Evelina Vulpe and the Conservative candidate for Grays Riverside ward in Thurrock council.
We canvassed with our Events Manager and helped make the Conservative case for a better Thurrock: protecting the greenbelt, improving educational excellence, tackling the scourge of litter, fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour as well as having a smaller, more efficient council.
Evelina is standing as a council candidate in a tightly contested election as Labour only has a majority of one seat in Thurrock council.
She says that "It has been a privilege to campaign with my CCF staff team in Grays. We had some enthusiastic and positive responses on the doorstep."
"For far too long the residents of Grays Riverside have had to put up with councillors who promise more than they deliver. This election is not about what is happening in Westminster or Brussels, it's about what is happening here locally. Vote for me on 5th of May to see a real change in Grays and a real change in the whole of Thurrock."
