The thoughts and prayers of the CCF are with those who were killed or injured in the Terrorist Attack on Westminster on Wednesday the 22nd March. Innocent victims of all ages and nationalities were caught up on Westminster Bridge. Our thoughts turn in particular to PC Keith Palmer who died in the line of duty.
CCF Director Gareth Wallace was on the Parliamentary estate during the incident. He comments, " I offered a silent prayer of thanks for the police prepared to die to protect us. My heart swelled watching the calm response inside the House of Commons chamber as Members, including CCF members and patrons, responded calmly to the tragically unfolding events."
Please pray for wisdom for the police as they undertake the investigation into what has happened and consider the implications for Parliament's security. We also pray for the work of Parliament and that Terrorism will never be allowed to stand in the way of Democracy.
