The Conservative Christian Fellowship was aghast to hear of the Paris Attacks a week or so ago, it was shocking to learn of attacks that were happening so close to home. It brought the reality of what is happening across Syria and Iraq to us, the next question that we asked amongst ourselves is why? Why Paris? Why Friday? We were able to find comfort in the following scripture from Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This scripture became even more relevant when we heard of the attacks in Mali and Nigeria.
In reaction to the attacks the CCF in partnership with Christians on the Left, Christians in Politics, Christians in Government, Liberal Democrat Christian Forum, the City Sikhs Forum and Rose Hudson Wilkin (Chaplain) alongside serval Members of Parliament all joined together outside Westminster Abbey for an Interfaith vigil. We continue to pray for Paris and the families of the victims also praying that God will bring peace to Syria and Iraq.

We also encourage you to keep praying for the following things:
- For those affected by the Paris Attacks
- The Government as they tackle extremism & make tough security decisions
- Peace in Syria & Iraq
- For persecuted Christians in Syria & Iraq
- For the perpetrators that they will recognise the hurt and suffering they are causing and for God to speak to their hearts.
