Last Friday the CCF team travelled up to Edinburgh to attend the Scottish Conservatives Conference.
We listened to the Prime Minister David Cameron and the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Ruth Davidson MSP, making a convincing case for the Scottish Conservatives as the only credible alternative to the SNP which seeks to break the United Kingdom apart.
We also heard from Scottish Conservatives candidates selected to stand for Scottish Parliamentary elections on the 5th of May. In particular, we were delighted to see two CCF member, Alex Stewart-Clark and Graeme Brooks, setting out their campaign platform before conference. Alex is standing in Mid Fife and Glenrothes while Graeme is standing in Greenock and Inverclyde. You can find a full list of Scottish Conservatives candidates here.
At our conference stand we were able to reach out to Scottish Conservative supporters and communicate our vision of building bridges between the party and the Christian world, inspiring and equipping Christians to go into public life, and being 'salt and light' in politics.
We were glad to be able to meet CCF supporters in Scotland as well as our patron Murdo Fraser, MSP for Mid-Scotland & Fife and former Deputy Leader of the Scottish Conservatives. We were also delighted to meet Cllr Cameron Rose, Conservative Group Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council.
