Between June and September this year unemployment fell by 37,000 and since last year 350,000 more people now have a full time job. That’s 350,000 more people with the security of work, a regular income and better able to provide for themselves and their family.
Creating more jobs for people is crucial to our mission to build a country that works for everyone. Since 2010 more than 2.7 million people have got a job and unemployment is down by more than 900,000 to its lowest level in 11 years.
The measures we have taken have put our economy in a position of strength, and we will work to ensure more people can benefit from these opportunities as we build a country that works for everyone.
