About Al Lewis:
Al is a charity worker and has lived locally in Shepherds Bush for a decade.
He sits on the environment committee where he works in Waterloo making that area greener, more pleasant, less polluted.
He will do the same for Addison and Shepherds Bush.
Over 15 years, he has worked in the charity sector with amazing organisations in the fields of cancer care, animal welfare and global poverty.
He is a facilities manager and runs charity buildings for a living. The physical environment is hugely important for the flourishing of his local community. Proper lighting, clean air, good amenities all help make his area safe & more prosperous.
He will campaign for Addison to have better lighting, signage & bins as well as more trees & plants.
He has served as a union rep standing up for workplace fairness. He cares about poverty and was on the board of our local credit union for several years. He supported former Conservative Mayor Boris John on the London Living Wage campaign and persuaded Coca Cola HQ in Hammersmith to pay their cleaners a decent wage.
He is on the board of the business improvement district in Waterloo and knows that helping local businesses to thrive is important to the prosperity of the local community.
His belief is that "Good jobs are the best way for people to improve their circumstances and build for a better future."
As a charity worker he is committed to making the world a better place. He has experience in improving the physical environment and will work to make Addison a better place to live and work.
